DAY 1 | Welcome to Lake Como

Arrive at your hotel in Como city. Meet your guide for a walking tour of Como and a storytelling of the lake. Visit Como monuments such as the main cathedral, the old San Fedele church and the temple dedicated to Alessandro Volta, the inventor of battery.

DAY 2 | Bellagio & West Coast

Rendezvous: 10:00 am
Meet your travel mates and your guide for a quick briefing of the day. Start your cycling holiday with a warm-up along Lake Como: a scenographic easy itinerary with few rolling hills and a constant view of the lake. At about a half of the ride you will cross the lake by boat and visit Bellagio village before resuming the ride until Como city.

Distance: 60 km – Elevation Gain: 600 m
Riding Time: 3.5 hours - Arrival: 2:30 pm

DAY 3 | Val d'Intelvi & Balcone d'Italia

Rendezvous: 9:30 am
Time for some climbs to discover the beauty of the quiet and green Val d'Intelvi. After leaving the coast of Lake of Como you will cross the characteristic villages starred on Como hills . Three medium climbs will lead you to Balcone d’Italia at 1325 m a.s.l., where you will enjoy a priceless view of the city of Lugano, its lake and the Alps. After descending, surrounded by woods in Swiss territory you will reach the starting point on mostly flat roads between vineyards.

Distance: 85 km – Elevation Gain: 1600 m
Riding Time: 4.5 hours - Arrival: 3:00 pm

DAY 4 | Madonna del Ghisallo & Sormano

Rendezvous: 9:30 am
Here come the real climbs! This is the most challenging day of the week as you will face the key section of the world famous classic race Giro di Lombardia. After the first 30 km, you will start ascending until Madonna Ghisallo. Time for a visit to the Museum and temple of cycling to take a rest before resuming the itinerary and get ready to face “Muro di Sormano", the hardest cycling path in the world with its 2 km at an average grade of 17% with peaks at 25%. You will then descend to Como for a well-deserved rest!

Distance: 80 km – Elevation Gain: 1800 m
Riding Time: 5 hours - Arrival: 3:30 pm

DAY 5 | Lake Ceresio & Swiss Vineyards

Rendezvous: 10:00 am
Today the itinerary will bring you until Lake Ceresio and Lake Lugano, a ride between Switzerland and Italy crossing the border several times. There are no particular climbs but you will enjoy the water side view. At the end take a rest for a pleasant free visit of the historical center of Mendrisio, vineyard and tiny villages before heading back to your hotel.

Distance: 85 km – Elevation Gain: 700 m
Riding Time: 3.5 hours - Arrival: 2:30 pm
