After a lookout in the amazing village of Bellagio we will resume the ride on the eastern coast returning to our starting point through incredible panoramas over the lake.

ERBONNE & VAL DI MUGGIO
The enchanted village with no country

Can you imagine riding through a secret village older than Rome? Well... Erbonne, a pearl hidden in Lake Como valleys, was founded 3000 years ago! This itinerary begins on the western lake coast, we will then start climbing through very secluded roads up to Erbonne. After crossing a wooden bridge and walking our road bikes for 15 minutes we will reach the top of Muggio valley and start an amazing 10 km downhill that will lead us to vineyards in Morbio and eventually back to our starting point in Como.

Hard Climbs

Don’t miss the chance to ride the key section of the world famous classic pro race “Giro di Lombardia”. After a break at the summit of Ghisallo climb and a worthy visit to the cyclists' temple, get ready to face the incredibly tough “Muro di Sormano”: despite the length of this climb is less than 2 km, its average grade of 17% with peaks at 25% makes it the hardest cycling path in the world.

Scenic Climbs

This medium to long ride starts along Lake Como coast and heads to the quiet and green Val d'Intelvi. Three mild climbs lead to 1325 m a.s.l. where you will enjoy a priceless view over the city of Lugano, its lake and the Alps. After descending through woods and small villages in Swiss territory, the itinerary continues through secondary roads between vineyards before reaching the starting point in Como city.

Waterside Sightseeing

This 90 km itinerary is a trip along the two lakes of our area: Lake Como and Lake Lugano, we will leave lake Como coast after about 30 km and after an easy climb section we will reach Lake Lugano. At about half way, the route continues in Switzerland territory along the lake shore and through vineyards landscapes toward the end. The perfect choice for nice sightseeing without climbing too much.

A panoramic ride over Lake Ceresio and Lake Lugano. This medium itinerary with just few rolling hills takes place between Switzerland and Italy crossing borders several time. Most of the ride is by water side through quiet roads, the final part of the ride crosses Mendrisio vineyards and historical centre.

Long Climbs

A pretty long ride ride mostly dedicated to climbs, once reached Argegno (220 m a.s.l.) the road starts climbing through nice and quiet valleys and leads to the 1576 m of Rifugio Venini in three steps. Along the way there are several panoramic points and the scene from the top is an unforgettable landscape over Lake Como and its surrounding mountains.

Steep Climbs

Two very nice climbs in a row for a 90 km itinerary. Val Mara is a hard climb in Switzerland with a section at 18% gradient and it is very characteristic for its steep sequence of hairpin turns. After an easier section the road starts climbing again to reach the tiny alpine village of Orimento at 1276 m a.s.l. The way back is through the costal road to Como.
